Lenten Evening of Prayer and Eucharistic Adoration with Irish Tenor, Mark Forrest

The Respect Life Committee invites you to a Lenten Evening of Prayer with Eucharistic Adoration and Praying for Respect for Life with Irish Tenor, Mark Forrest. This Lenten Evening of Prayer will take place on Saturday, March 10, from 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. in the Main Church. Mark Forrest has sung for Mother Teresa (now St. Teresa of Calcutta), Pope St. John Paul II, and Pope Francis. He has also sung on numerous occasions at the White House. Mark and his wife and family are faithful witnesses for respect for the sanctity of life at all stages. This is a free event. A good will offering is optional. This evening of prayer will be dedicated especially to thanking God for the gift of life and praying all will respect the sacred gift of life from conception to natural death. Please call Denise Blair-Nellies, Coordinator for the Respect Life Committee, at 410-795-6852 for more information. Click here to view the flyer for this event!

Here is some background information about Mark Forrest that is listed on his website, Markforrest.com: In 1999, Mark and his wife, Muriel, parents of eight boys (one who passed away as a baby, three of whom have profound disabilities) founded the Faith and Family Foundation which supports and encourages families who have children with special needs. Mark's "lyrics" are the sanctity of human life at every stage and age. Mark and Muriel's efforts to establish the Faith and Family Foundation were born out of the sorrowful death of their third baby boy, Francesco, who was diagnosed in utero with a severely compromised heart. Francesco lived only five days, "touching more people than I ever will in lifetime," Mark says. Their second son, John Patrick, was also born with special needs and is battling a rare nerve condition that has left him blind and confined to a wheelchair. Irish Tenor Mark Forrest and his wife, Muriel, began Wheatland Farm which provides therapeutic riding, adaptive and traditional aquatics, an adaptive hair salon, fun outdoor activities, and more. All programs are designed to include siblings and typically developing children in an all-inclusive environment. To find out more, about Wheatland farm, please visit wheatlandfarm.org.
