Ash Wednesday, February 14

Blessing and distribution of ashes at all services (Main Church):

Masses: 7:00 a.m. • 9:00 a.m. • 12:00 noon • 7:00 p.m.

Liturgy of the Word: 5:00 p.m.

Misa en Español: 7:00 p.m. (gym)

 

 

Passion (Palm) Sunday, March 24 - 25

There will be the blessing and distribution of palms at all weekend Masses:

Saturday: 4:00 p.m. • 7:00 p.m. (Misa en Español - Little Church)

Sunday: 7:30 a.m. • 9:00 a.m. • 10:30 a.m. • 12:00 noon • 1:45 p.m. (Español) • 5:00 p.m.

 

 

The Paschal Triduum

 

Holy Thursday, March 29

Morning Prayer: 9:00 a.m. (Little Church)

 

Mass of the Lord’s Supper: 7:30 p.m. (Main Church - bilingual)

The beginning of the Triduum where we remember the institution of the Eucharist, the priesthood, and the universal call to holiness. This service includes the washing of the feet (mandatum) and the procession with the Blessed Sacrament to the repository in the Little Church. As the Lord Jesus asked his disciples to watch and pray with him in the Garden of Olives, we keep watch with him throughout this night.

 

Night Prayer/Compline: 10:30 p.m. (Little Church)

After adoration, a quiet celebration of Compline will close this period of adoration. The Blessed Sacrament is removed from the repository, and the church is closed.

 

Good Friday, March 30

Morning Prayer: 9:00 a.m. (Little Church)

 

Stations of the Cross: 3:00 p.m. (Main Church)

 

Santo Viacrucis y Pasion de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo a las 5:30 p.m.

 

Passion of the Lord: 7:30 p.m. (Main Church)

The Liturgy of the Word, including the Reading of the Passion, the Veneration of the Cross, and Reception of Holy Communion. The Hosts used at this service were consecrated during the Holy Thursday Liturgy.

 

Holy Saturday, March 31

Morning Prayer: 9:00 a.m. (Little Church)

In the context of Morning Prayer, the Elect and Candidates for Full Communion with the Catholic Church are prepared for the celebration of the Easter Sacraments at the Easter Vigil.

 

Blessing of Easter Food: 12:00 noon (Little Church)

 

Easter Vigil: 7:30 p.m. (Main Church - bilingual)

The Great Easter Vigil includes the Service of Light, Liturgy of the Word, Blessing of the Easter Water, Baptism of the Elect and Reception of Candidates into Full Communion, Renewal of Baptismal Promises, Liturgy of the Eucharist.

Easter Sunday, April 1

Masses in the Main Church: 7:30 a.m. • 9:00 a.m. • 10:30 a.m. • 12:00 noon

Masses in the Little Church: 9:00 a.m. • 10:30 a.m.

Misa en Español: 1:45 p.m. (Main Church)

 

Note: there is no 5:00 p.m. Mass on Easter Sunday, and there is only a 9:00 a.m. Mass on Easter Monday, April 2.
