"They appointed elders for them in each church and, with prayer and fasting,
commended them to the Lord in whom they had put their faith." Acts 14:23
The purpose of the Council is to accept responsibility with the Pastor for the life and mission of the Church in the parish. The Pastoral Council meets on the first Tuesday of the month from September through June at 7 p.m. Ten lay persons are elected to the Council and the Pastor may appoint up to three additional lay members. Elections are held in May in accordance with the Constitution of the Pastoral Council.
The Council's Standing Committees are: Liturgy, Stewardship, Family/Spiritual Life, Christian Formation, Young Adult, Social Justice, and Community Relations.
The parish leadership is currently planning a revitalization of the Council's mission and charge.
